MADISON CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS AWARDED $528,000 GRANT TO EXPAND STUDENT SERVICES
Madison, IN – Bethany Legacy Foundation is excited to announce a $528,000 grant awarded to Madison Consolidated Schools. This funding will support current MCS staff members to continue their education to become Master’s level school counselors with an added LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and hire two new positions, a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Coach, and a College and Career Readiness Coach.
Morgan Hamilton, Program Manager at Bethany Legacy Foundation, remarked on the significance of the grant saying, “Expanding the student services team’s professional capacity creates a strong mental health talent pool that not only supports the well-being of strong youth and empowered adults but also fosters an environment for Jefferson County residents to prioritize their mental health.”
By integrating these new roles and programs, the district aims to foster a more supportive and nurturing environment, addressing both immediate and long-term wellness needs. Morgan Hamilton continued, “This initiative represents an innovation towards preventive care, and we are excited to see the positive effects it will have on the health of students and staff at Madison Consolidated Schools, as well as the community of Jefferson County.”
