Organizational Restructure – Aligned for Greater Impact
Following the recent unveiling of Legacy 2030 – our six-year strategic plan, we are proud to announce a strategic organizational restructure designed to position BLF for greater impact – by aligning our structure not only to our goals, but also to the unique talents and strengths of our team.
As part of this evolution, we have refined roles, clarified responsibilities, and created new positions to fully leverage the expertise, passion, and creativity of the staff. This intentional restructuring reflects BLF’s commitment to building from within and creating a workplace where people thrive while driving meaningful, community-centered change.
Here are the changes effective immediately

NOW HIRING!
A newly created position of Program Associate is posted for hire in May 2025. This position will report to the Grants and Impact Director and will be responsible for supporting BLF’s grantmaking, proposal review and grantee engagement.
Morgan Hamilton, previously Program Manager, has been appointed to the newly created position of Community Engagement Manager. In this new role, Hamilton will be responsible for strengthening the capabilities of BLF’s grantees through capacity-building activities. Hamilton will also manage our marketing and events functions.
Ronnie Watson, previously Program Manager, has been appointed to the newly created position of Grants and Impact Director. In this new role, Watson will lead the implementation and evaluation of BLF’s grantmaking, processes and strategic initiatives. Watson will work collaboratively with community partners, grantees, and stakeholders to drive impact and innovation and will supervise the Program Associate.
These changes build on our commitment to being a catalytic partner in improving health outcomes and strengthening the systems that support well-being in the region.
“This is more than a structural shift – it’s a statement of intent,” added Julie Berry, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We’re aligning our people and processes with a transformative vision for the future, and we’re excited to walk this journey alongside our community”.
